RATP Dev London’s Fulwell garage has a new operations manager following the transfer of Paul Teixeira to United Motorcoaches, the business’s recently relaunched private hire division.

Ray Newman joined RATP Dev London on October 26 from Abellio London, where he held a position as driving standards manager. Before that, he was an operations manager for 12 years at Abellio London’s Twickenham and Hayes operating bases, developing them during this time into top-performing garages.

“I’m really excited about joining RATP Dev London,” said Ray, who began his career in the bus industry in 1991 when he worked at the then CentreWest’s Uxbridge garage, passing his driving test in an original Routemaster. “I’ve been given a warm welcome and I look forward to turning Fulwell into one of the best garages in London.”

Ray is passionate about route performance and will be working alongside his colleagues in other departments to improve lost mileage and tackle any issues that stand in the way of the garage achieving its best.
